Amongst the skyscrapers that overlook the shores of Lake Michigan, Chicago is home to fascinating history and landmarks. Ready to discover it on this bike tour?
Chicago Bike Tour
Your bike tour of Chicago will begin in S Michigan Avenue, in the heart of the city centre. From there, you'll pedal over to the nearby Grant Park, entering into the expansive urban green space and cycling to the famous Buckingham Fountain. Discover if it has any connection to the British royal palace! Not far from here, you'll find the Art Institute of Chicago. While you admire its façade, your guide will reveal the history of this important cultural centre, museum and college.
Continue your bike tour onwards to the avant-garde Millennium Park. To truly appreciate its modern sculptures up close, you'll hop off your bike and stroll around the contemporary constructions, the most famous of which is the Cloud Gate, popularly known as The Bean thanks to its shape!
Back on your bike, you'll continue exploring Chicago, heading north via the waterfront path on the shores of Lake Michigan. You'll soon reach Navy Pier, a historic walkway that is now a popular leisure area with a giant ferris wheel, and North Side Beaches, long stretches of sand perfect to pedal alongside.
The bike route around Chicago will take you to more of the city's exciting districts and monuments, like the Chicago Loop, a lively neighbourhood full of shops, theatres, bars and restaurants surrounding the iconic skyscrapers that make up the skyline.
At the end of your tour, you'll return to the original departure point.
