Translate this opinion into English.

We combined a visit to the monastery with a trip to the thermal baths. The journey was very comfortable since we traveled in an 8-passenger van, which is faster than the bus. It allows you to spend more time outdoors at the monastery to explore it and take photos without the crowds (those who arrive by bus). Both the driver (a very pleasant trip) and the guide were excellent. It's worth paying €3 to enter the defensive tower. The baths were relaxing. Opinion translated. Show original.

Translate this opinion into English.

The monastery is definitely worth seeing, and we also enjoyed the thermal baths. However, the journey to both places is quite long compared to the amount of time you spend at each. We took a guided tour of the monastery, and aside from the explanation not being very engaging, we barely had time to explore it afterward. If you plan to visit the thermal baths afterward, I recommend seeing the monastery on your own. Opinion translated. Show original.

Translate this opinion into English.

Very good. The Monastery is spectacular. The guide's explanation provided excellent context and orientation. In our case, we combined our visit with the thermal baths. They are good, with numerous pools at different temperatures, and the facilities offer good value for money (it's not a spa, but rather natural hot springs that have been adapted for tourism, including saunas, jets, etc.). Our driver, Eugenio, was wonderful. He was very friendly and made our day much easier. Opinion translated. Show original.

Genial! Translate this opinion into English.

Great! Wear appropriate attire to enter the Monastery or they won't let you in; it's a bit old-fashioned, but that's how it is… The driver was very pleasant, helpful, flexible, friendly, and spoke excellent Spanish, 10/10. We would definitely do it again! The thermal baths are quite nice. Opinion translated. Show original.

Translate this opinion into English.

My only small complaint: many buses leave at the same time for different excursions, and it wasn't easy to find ours. Otherwise, the monastery is beautiful. An excellent guide, who spoke perfect Italian, showed us the salient and most significant aspects of the various frescoes, describing the origins and history of the place with warmth and precision. The thermal baths were also a pleasant discovery. Opinion translated. Show original.

I took the tour because it said it would be in Italian, but it was only in the monastery itself, and in Spanish and English on the bus. Maria and Inna were very kind. The driver was a little less so; his driving wasn't very reliable. Overall, everything was beautiful. The monastery was top-notch, and the spa was a great combination for a few hours of relaxation.

No repetiría jamás.

The Rila Monastery tour with Maria (our guide) was great. The problem comes with the other part of the tour. Hot springs? It was a complete lie. It was terribly organized, not in the same town, and you lose over an hour getting there. When you finally arrive, you eat, and then you barely have 1.5 hours for a pool of freezing, dirty, and awful-smelling water. To top it all off, they charge €13 per person to enter. This second part was absolutely terrible. I would never do it again.

Our driver, Eugenio, was very kind and attentive throughout the day, giving us advice and helping whenever we needed it. Our guide, Pablo, was very engaging and explained things very well, but there were two groups: one visiting Rila and Boyana, whom he accompanied throughout the trip, and ours, a smaller group visiting Rila and the Sapareva hot springs. At one point during the tour, he told us he was finished with us, but continued explaining things to the other group. Note: this applies when paying in Sapareva.

Esperienza fantastica e molto varia!

A fantastic and varied experience! The Rila Monastery is a jewel of art and history, made even more evocative by the surrounding snow-capped peaks. The second part of the day at the Sapareva Banya spa was fantastic; soaking in the hot tubs after the cold mountain air was rejuvenating. Excellent organization and well-managed schedules. Special thanks to our very friendly driver, Eugeny, who was punctual and was a great help at the spa by acting as our interpreter. Opinion translated. Show original.

The tour and the guide in Rila were perfect (highly recommended), but the package also included the hot springs, which was a real disappointment. The person driving us in the van, despite being friendly and trying hard, had absolutely no Spanish and offered no help at the ticket office. So, if you don't speak English, forget about it.

Translate this opinion into English.

The guide did not speak all the way on the bus, and although that possibility was described by civitatis, it would have been appreciated to have some historical, social, and cultural references. Opinion translated. Show original.
