What are the most popular Alpine recipes? To discover them, you'll need to head to the reception of Le Mirabeau Resort & Spa (Untere Mattenstrasse 12/14), where your apéritif tour of Zermatt begins. This town in the Canton of Valais in southern Switzerland offers a wide variety of specialties that mix with the Italian tradition.
This walking tour of Zermatt is self-guided, so you'll be able to stroll at your own pace through the city. The tour consists of a total of 4 stops, and at each one, you'll have an apéritif with a drink. When checking in at the first stop, you'll receive the information of the route and the necessary access code for the next location.
The first stop will be at Marie's Deli, the cozy gastronomic space of Hotel Le Mirabeau. After enjoying this first apéritif, you'll continue tour route by walking toward the famous Bazaar, located in the CERVO Mountain Resort, a lively lounge-bar inspired by Asian flavors.
Your third stop will be the Cheminée-Bar (Fireplace Bar) in the traditional Hotel Pollux, where you can relax with the heat of its Alpine ambience. Finally, after 3.5 hours in total, you'll conclude your food walk at the historic Hotel Post.
Please note that on your apéritif tour of Zermatt, you'll need to follow the same order described in the itinerary. At the first stop, you'll be given the details and access codes for the following tastings; therefore, you cannot go to one of the restaurants without previously registering.
